Have a look at what we were up to last week!!!

We like exploring the environment around the school. We often see things and places on our daily walks that we like to go and have a closer look at. Last week some of us were going on scavenger hunts, looking for signs, and car spotting. Through the year we go up to the Secret Garden where we can play and learn about different seasons and nature.

Learning about nature

We have been talking about what we will grow in our planters. The children have suggested lots of kinds of flowers and fruit and vegetables, and we have started to sow and plant. Now we just need to wait and see what happens. But don't worry because we have been talking about how to look after our plants.




Bugs, bugs everywhere - we have been on the lookout for bugs wherever we go. As you can see there is a lot of interest in creepy crawlies.

There's no such thing as bad weather - only the wrong clothes. But here at Papdale we are prepared for all weathers! Fun Outdoors

We have been really lucky to have lots of bonnie weather since Nursery closed. You have certainly been making the most of it and have been spending lots of time outside. Just like the indoors photos we can see so much learning going on. It might be 'just playing' to the children but they are learning so much from siblings and parents. It's time to play

We have really enjoyed keeping in touch with our families over the phone and with emails during lock-down. As time has gone on we asked parents if they could ask their children what they have liked or disliked about lock-down. Some of the boys and lasses drew pictures to share their ideas.  A lot of you have said you miss coming to Nursery, and we miss seeing you all too.  Lots of boys, girls, and mums and dads have said they have enjoyed being able to spend more time together. We can see that you are having fun spending time with your families, and are so busy with lots of different activities.
