World Book Week



 

World Book Day

 
To celebrate World Book Day we have had a few visitors in to read stories to us. The Primary seven children came in and read to us in small groups and we had a visit from authors, Britt Harcus and Michelle Roberston. We dressed up in our pyjamas and shared our stories with the key group.















































Bubbles!

This week we have been exploring big bubbles. Even the grown ups are curious!!
 

















 





 

This week we have been a trip to the Willows to look for signs of Spring.












We have been beginning to sort our 'Beautiful Stuff' into categories.

The Selkies have been busy measuring in our group time.








 
The Caddie Lamb's have been busy making real gingerbread this week carrying on with their story 'The Gingerbread Man'.

There's no such thing as bad weather - only the wrong clothes. But here at Papdale we are prepared for all weathers! Fun Outdoors

We have been really lucky to have lots of bonnie weather since Nursery closed. You have certainly been making the most of it and have been spending lots of time outside. Just like the indoors photos we can see so much learning going on. It might be 'just playing' to the children but they are learning so much from siblings and parents. Nature A farmers work is never done. How many sheep can you see? Hold on tight Searching for tadpoles Out and about Donating birthday party eggs to the hardworking ambulance workers. It's time to play

We have really enjoyed keeping in touch with our families over the phone and with emails during lock-down. As time has gone on we asked parents if they could ask their children what they have liked or disliked about lock-down. Some of the boys and lasses drew pictures to share their ideas.  A lot of you have said you miss coming to Nursery, and we miss seeing you all too.  Lots of boys, girls, and mums and dads have said they have enjoyed being able to spend more time together. We can see that you are having fun spending time with your families, and are so busy with lots of different activities.
