Welcome Back We were really excited to welcome our children and families back to Nursery last week. We have really missed having children in the Nursery so it was great to finally be able to hear children's voices and laughter. We have enjoyed watching the children settle into our new temporary setting. The children have coped and adapted really well coming back after such a long spell at home and we have seen lots of smiles from everyone.
Weeks beginning 10th and 17th February. This week has been busy in the block area, with lots of learning taking place. We are learning about size, height, shape, we are balancing the shapes and learning about position. We are being creative, while keeping ourselves and each other safe. The children have been exploring the mud and jumping in the puddles. We are playing with the new scales, learning about weight, capacity, volume and mathematical language - more/less. We were making 'coffee' and smelling the tea bags to have our tea party. Miss Adams bought a coconut this week, the children were problem solving how to open it. They began by trying to crack it on the jug but the children thought 'it can't be like an egg cause it's not cracking.' The ch...
