Garden Centre and Memory Cafe Visit



 
We have been taking groups of children down to The Garden Centre every morning this week. They  had a check list with photos of decorations and had to match the photo with items in the shop. We then had snack in the café before choosing new decorations for the Nursery.

















 































































 
 
*We have had a few cases of sickness and diarrhoea in the Nursery. Can we please remind everyone of the importance of ensuring your child does not return to Nursery until 48 hours after the LAST episode. This helps to lessen the spread of the illness. We notified Public Health and they stressed the importance of adhering to the 48hour policy. In addition the Nursery has received a deep clean following Public Health guidelines.

At Nursery we are reminding children of the importance of thorough hand washing at all times.*

* Reminder- Next Wednesday 11th is the Christmas party. Details are on the invitation that went home*


We went to the Memory Café on Thursday. They had a visiting choir who sang to everyone before we did our singing. We finished up with everyone singing together.

This involves working co-operatively with others, and assessing risk to see if it feels safe to jump. Rain rain come again

    * A peedie reminder that we are out in all weathers (rain, wind, sun, frost and snow) so please ensure that your child comes to Nursery suitably dressed for all occasions * It has been another busy week outdoors as you can see below. Out and about

      *Reminder- We close today Friday 11th October. Nursery opens again on Wednesday 30th October*   If your child attends on a Thursday they can dress up for Halloween on the 31st if they would like to. We hope you don't scare us too much!!   On the buses A small group of children went for a very exciting trip this week. They walked down to the Town Hall before catching the bus back to Nursery. They had to check timetables, wait for the bus, and everyone had to give the driver money before they could get their tickets. The bus went around the town before arriving at KGS, where the children got off.       The Secret Garden On our visit to the Secret Garden last week we spoke to the children about the fire-pit and what we had to do to stay safe if we light it.
