Welcome Back

We were really excited to welcome our children and families back to Nursery last week. We have really missed having children in the Nursery so it was great to finally be able to hear children's voices and laughter. We have enjoyed watching the children settle into our new temporary setting. 
The children have coped and adapted really well coming back after such a long spell at home and we have seen lots of smiles from everyone.

There's no such thing as bad weather - only the wrong clothes. But here at Papdale we are prepared for all weathers! We had lots of fun going on puddle hunts after the rain The Secret Garden We are learning to keep safe in the garden - we talk about fire safety, what plants are safe to touch, and we are risk assessing our play as we climb. Fun Outdoors

We have been really lucky to have lots of bonnie weather since Nursery closed. You have certainly been making the most of it and have been spending lots of time outside. Just like the indoors photos we can see so much learning going on. It might be 'just playing' to the children but they are learning so much from siblings and parents. Nature A farmers work is never done. How many sheep can you see? Hold on tight Searching for tadpoles Out and about Donating birthday party eggs to the hardworking ambulance workers. It's time to play

We have really enjoyed keeping in touch with our families over the phone and with emails during lock-down. As time has gone on we asked parents if they could ask their children what they have liked or disliked about lock-down. Some of the boys and lasses drew pictures to share their ideas.  A lot of you have said you miss coming to Nursery, and we miss seeing you all too.  Lots of boys, girls, and mums and dads have said they have enjoyed being able to spend more time together. We can see that you are having fun spending time with your families, and are so busy with lots of different activities. Name activity We have really liked seeing and hearing about how the children are getting on with their weekly activities.
