Blocks, mud and mess.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Weeks beginning 10th and 17th February. This week has been busy in the block area, with lots of learning taking place.



   



























 

The children have been exploring the mud and jumping in the puddles.


 





 
We are playing with the new scales, learning about weight, capacity, volume and mathematical language - more/less.





We were making 'coffee' and smelling the tea bags to have our tea party.










 
Miss Adams bought a coconut this week, the children were problem solving how to open it. They began by trying to crack it on the jug but the children thought 'it can't be like an egg cause it's not cracking.' The children tasted the coconut once it was cut up.

Fun Outdoors

We have been really lucky to have lots of bonnie weather since Nursery closed. You have certainly been making the most of it and have been spending lots of time outside. Just like the indoors photos we can see so much learning going on. It might be 'just playing' to the children but they are learning so much from siblings and parents. Nature A farmers work is never done. How many sheep can you see? Hold on tight Searching for tadpoles Out and about Donating birthday party eggs to the hardworking ambulance workers. It's time to play

We have really enjoyed keeping in touch with our families over the phone and with emails during lock-down. As time has gone on we asked parents if they could ask their children what they have liked or disliked about lock-down. Some of the boys and lasses drew pictures to share their ideas.  A lot of you have said you miss coming to Nursery, and we miss seeing you all too.  Lots of boys, girls, and mums and dads have said they have enjoyed being able to spend more time together. We can see that you are having fun spending time with your families, and are so busy with lots of different activities.
